Design Zealot Multimedia is the brain-child of ME, multi-talented artist, writer, and visionary, Curtis “Curt DZ” Echols.

The gift of art was shown all throughout my early childhood years with drawing and doodling as a toddler, to becoming an award-winning visual artist honing my skills during elementary and high school.

 

It was then that I started to become popular for my drawings and sketches; most notably for my signature “dogs” I had drawn for my comic strip which earned me the nickname “Curt Dogg.”  

 

With the influence of Bay Area slang, my nickname would then evolve into “Curt DZ,” which would then be turned into the abbreviation of the aptly titled, “Design Zealot.” 

 

Any and everything became my canvas with music and women always being my muse.  Paper, desks, walls, napkins, clothes, you name it…..nothing was safe if pencil, pen, or marker were within reach.

 

Once the 2,000’s arrived, I elevated my game and taught myself how to use graphic design software and never looked back.  Then I began taking my drawings and ideas and manipulated them into new works of art using this new found technology.

 

I am quietly one of the most talented artists of my generation.  My designs and artwork have been featured in several major publications, advertisements, and entertainment productions.

 

I’ve collaborated and been commissioned to design many campaigns and projects for several legendary, high-profile music industry artists and professionals.

 

Currently my work is sought after and utilized by numerous nightlife, culinary, and corporate business establishments, national and international.
